I am still loving pixel art and old video games.

This short animation is continuation of my first Gold Digger animation in 2007. In this piece I developed the graphics and character design more advanced and detailed.

In the basic line, story is the same – stereotypical blond girl doing several things to get married with powerful and rich man. From the Dictionary of the sexual terms, gold digger or gold miner is a young woman seeking or attaching herself to a rich and/or powerful older man who will support her.

Unfortunately, she starts to make her way from the wrong side...

“Dance of Elves” is a fantastic journey of young girl between dreams
and reality. Adrija lives in one of the peripheral area of Latvia, called
Latgale. She regularly takes the long way to the capital Riga, because it opens new opportunities for her. Adrija find herself free, happy,overtaken by ideas and successful girl, because all her wishes come true: there are trips, there is a victory in Biology Olympiad, interesting meetings and many other wonderful things. But what to do when you suddenly realize that you don`t know what do you really want?

This film is successful mixed with computer anmiation by Inese Verina. Animated episodes are great accent to portray Adrijas colorful thoughts and confused mind.

This animation is about situations, when somebody do things that nobody likes to see later. But in the same time, nobody knows who did it and anybody will not confess about it, too.

Space Poodle is computer animation I made in aesthetics inspired from NES, ZX Spectrum and other old video game consoles. Scene graphics are built in Photoshop pixel-by-pixel and later animated in After Effects.

During the "Days of Art 2009" ten Latvian new artists worked together and each made one painting. Workshop happened on the former train platform in Riga's Central Market. The topic of this four days long workshop were "Bread or Brick?" (In Latvian slang the word "brick" means special kind of dark bread what is similar to a brick in shape).

My painting is called the same - "Bread or Brick?" and it is painted with acryl paint on cardboard. Dimensions 270x180 cm.

On 28th August 1987 an unseen scale photo-campaign “One Day in Latvia” took place in Latvia. 20 years later, in the midnight to 31st August 2007, second round of this campaign was started in Riga. 180 professional local and foreign photographers started off; photo fans participated voluntarily sending in 9800 pictures.

Documental shots from both rounds of the campaign as well as opinions of popular and important people in Latvia, artists and photographers have been compiled in the film, - how has the country changed during those twenty years and have the people become happier?

Satirical calendar with 12 illustrations about animals who living in the one forest. Black humour story were found in the internet some years ago. Author of the original story is still unknown.

Version of board game "Circus" by Inese Verina. Subject of this game is Life. Steping on drugs you go "down", but love can raise you up. All ends with death like every human life.

Computer animation in old-school video game style. Inspiration for character and background design came from ZX Spectrum and other old game computer graphics aeshtetics.

Animation story is about mainstream girl who are going for stereothipical prizes.
